Waterloo Road: New images of latest series released by BBC

The seven-part new series of Waterloo Road will hit our screens on BBC One in January 2023 and features an all-star cast.

Rachel Leskovac, who studied at St Joseph’s College in Manningham, has been cast as head of English Coral Walker in the reboot of the school drama.

She is mainly known as being Natasha Blakeman on the cobbles. After a decade away from Weatherfield, she returned to the ITV show in 2020 for a short spell.

The cast also includes Angela Griffin, who plays Kim Campbell; Adam Thomas (Donte Charles), Strictly Come Dancing contestant Kym Marsh (Nicky Walters); Neil Fitzmaurice (Neil Guthrie) and Sonia Ibrahim (Jamilah Omar).

Fans have been treated to a glimpse of the new upcoming drama as a set of first-look images of cast members have been released, introducing the new series and offering insight as to what is to come.

Waterloo Road’s teachers and parents have to tackle themes including teen homelessness, being LGBTQ+ and racism.
