A BRADFORD primary school is partially closed due to an outbreak of a "vomiting and flu-like virus".

The announcement, for St Mary's and St Peter's Catholic Primary School, on Leeds Road, was made in a notice on Bradford Council's emergency school closure alert system.

Explaining the decision, it says: "Due to an outbreak of a vomiting and flu-like virus across our reception and Key Stage 1 classes.

"These classes share outside play areas, toilet facilities and cloakrooms.

"We have made the decision to close this area in order to carry out a deep clean as approximately 50 per cent of the children in these classes are now off sick.

"All learning will move to online for the two days we are closed.

"Reception parent meetings will be rescheduled for Tuesday 29th November."
