The incident involved two cars, Shipley Fire Station said, and happened close to a pedestrian crossing at the junction of Canal Road and Gaisby Lane.

Crews from Shipley and Fairweather Green fire stations attended the scene at around 8.30pm and extricated one man from the vehicle.

He was then taken to hospital by the ambulance service.

A Shipley Fire Station spokesperson added that the man's injuries "didn't look serious".

Road closures were put in place as a result of the incident.
