The aftermath of a crash on a major Bradford route has deepened traffic chaos across parts of the district this evening.

Drivers should prepare for heavy traffic along key routes as rush hour peaks - including roads in Bradford, Shipley, Saltaire and Bingley.

Here's a brief round-up for motorists heading home on Wednesday evening.

Cemetery Road

Cemetery Road is partially blocked both ways due to a crash near Maharaja Fabrics Ltd.

Beckside Road

There is slow moving traffic on Beckside Road Northbound at Clayton Road.

Travel time is around 10 minutes on Beckside Road Southbound at Cannon Mill Lane, according to The AA.

Bingley bypass

It comes after an earlier incident on Bingley bypass.

Police could be seen finishing their enquiries from the bridge above.

Canal Road

Delays are expected on Canal Road due to ongoing electricity work on Queens Road Westbound from Station Road to Bolton Lane.

Wakefield Road

An earlier lane closure on the A650 Wakefield Road Southbound between A647 Croft Street and Bowling Back Lane is causing a small backlog of traffic.

The road was closed for around an hour due to a lorry fire.

M606 Southbound

Meanwhile all lanes on the M606 Southbound have been stopped due to a "traffic problem", the AA has said.

Traffic isn't moving on the M606 Southbound before J2 Merrydale Road (Euroway Trading Estates).

Traffic has been held since around 5.20pm.
