FIRE crews from across West Yorkshire have been at the scene of a fire in the West Bowling area of Bradford

Firefighters were called to the scene - a Post Office on Gaythorne Road - at 10.50pm on Monday.

Crews from across West Yorkshire remained at the scene this morning.

Paramedics and police were also called to the road. 

The fire was on the ground floor of the three-storey end terrace, covering 15 meters by 15 meters. 

Six pumps and one aerial were used.

Six breathing apparatuses were used, three large jets, one hose reel, and high-powered fans were used to extinguish the fire.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Seven to eight fire engines were there.

"Crews from across Bradford, Leeds and Huddersfield were at the fire and crews are still there now. 

"The fire is under investigation."

The incident also required the cooperation of Yorkshire Water, Northern Powergrid, and Bradford Council to assist crews.
