WORK is well underway to build 122 homes on a former green belt site in Cleckheaton alongside the M62 motorway.
Barratt Homes is building a range of two, three and four bedroom homes at Whitechapel Road, as well as a new t-junction to access the development.
The site itself is 4.5 hectares and is bordered by a pub, a church and a school, as well as the busy M62 motorway.
The development is being called Wadsworth Gardens, and three show homes have recently been completed for prospective buyers to look round.

The Maidstone show home at Wadsworth Gardens is a three-bedroom home with a dual-aspect lounge and an open-plan kitchen with dining area and French doors leading to the garden.
Upstairs there are two double bedrooms with an en-suite to the main, a single bedroom that could also be used as a study and a family bathroom.
The Kingsville is a three bedroom home over three storeys with a study on the ground floor that could be used as another bedroom.
The ground floor also has an open plan kitchen-diner, with the first floor containing a bedroom with an en-suite and a family lounge. The second floor has a double bedroom, a single bedroom, and a family bathroom.
The Radleigh is the final of the three show homes to open and is a four bedroom detached home. The open-plan dining kitchen opens out into the garden through French doors, and there is a separate utility room and, as well as a private driveway and detached garage.
Upstairs there are four double bedrooms, including an en-suite bathroom in the main bedroom.
Concerns included fears over the loss of green fields, air and noise pollution problems for future residents of homes close to the M62, as well as that the road was too narrow to accommodate that much extra traffic.
Whitechapel Primary School and two local councillors also raised their concerns.
