DETECTIVES are investigating after two "targeted attacks" at the Life Church on Wapping Road.

On Sunday, November 13, criminal damage was caused to a function room at the Church and last night there was a security threat intended to cause further damage, police said.

As a precautionary measure the building was evacuated, and a search was carried out.

Nothing was found.

A scene was in place whilst the police investigation got underway.

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Farrell, of Bradford District Crime Team, said: “We are linking these incidents and treating them as targeted attacks.

“My officers are carrying out extensive enquiries to find the person responsible for these incidents.

“I would appeal to the community if anyone knows anything about the criminal damage caused to come forward.”

Inspector Paul Riley, of the Bradford East Neighbourhood Police Team, added: “We have stepped up patrols in the area to provide reassurance to the community.

“We are treating these incidents as hate crimes and will look to take positive action.

“If you have any concerns or information that can help, please speak to us.”
