A WOMAN has appeared in court for stealing chocolates from a Bradford city centre convenience store.
Caren Newsome, 44, of Sonning Road, Bradford, faced two charges; theft from a shop and committing a further offence while subject of a community order.
In the first, Newsome stole Ferrero Rocher chocolates, to the value of £165.15, from Tesco Express, Sunbridge Road, Bradford. The offence took place on October 1, 2022.
She was given a community order which includes a drug rehabilitation requirement. She was also ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge.
The community order also covered the second offence Newsome faced. She was sentenced for a charge of commission of further offence whilst subject to a conditional discharge.
Newsome was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on November 2, 2022.
