THE organising committee of Otley Beer Festival has announced it is not possible to arrange a festival this year.

A statement on the festival's website says: "Unfortunately, the Otley Beer Festival organising committee has decided it is not possible to arrange a festival this year (2022) and is putting its efforts into preparing for a venue-based festival in 2023.

"Since 2002 the festival has been under the umbrella of Otley Parish Church and covered by their various procedures and insurances but following the amicable separation at the beginning of this year, it has not been possible to set up our own systems in time for this year’s festival.

"We look forward to reviving this enjoyable and important charity fund-raising event which has become one of Otley's main community events next year."

It had been hoped the Otley Beer Festival would be held at a number of different town pubs and the Cricket Club on Friday November 25 and Saturday November 26, 2022.
