THE AIR Ambulance helicopter rushed to a park where a man had "fallen from height".

Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) confirmed today it was called to reports of a man falling from height at 12.12pm yesterday.

It was off Cawcliffe Road, in Brighouse, with the main area of interest reportedly being an area with buildings next to Ravensprings Park.

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance helicopter landed on the playing fields of the park, while a road unit was also sent to the scene.

West Yorkshire Police was called shortly after and a spokesperson for the force said a man had reportedly been seriously injured after falling from a building in the area.

The injured male was rushed to Leeds General Infirmary (LGI) by the road ambulance where he received further treatment.

A full statement from YAS said: "We received an emergency call at 12.12pm on Wednesday afternoon to reports of an incident where a man had fallen from height in the Cawcliffe Road area of Brighouse.

"An ambulance and air ambulance were dispatched to the scene and the patient was conveyed to Leeds General Infirmary by road ambulance."
