THE ROYAL Shakespeare Company, in partnership with Bradford’s Alhambra Theatre, is looking for community champions to take part in its new touring production.
The new production of Julius Caesar, Shakespeare’s epic thriller, will be performed at the Alhambra and will include a chorus of six women.
These women will include trans, intersex and cis and all non-binary, agender and gender variant people.
This community champions chorus will perform alongside, and as part of, the Royal Shakespeare Company’s professional actors at key moments in the production.
A spokesperson said: “We want to continue to learn about and build a long-term connection with the communities of the cities and towns where we perform.
“We are particularly interested in those working with communities underrepresented in theatre.”
Anyone who is interested is asked to email Julia Smith at julia.smith@bradford.gov.uk.
