A PERSISTENT paedophile who searched for images of pre-teen boys was jailed for breaching his Sexual Harm Order for a sixth time - 20 days after being released from prison.

Bradley Ashton-Fearnley, of Allerton Road, Bradford, admitted to committing three breaches at his home address on September 22.

He defied the order by installing a Virtual Private Network (VPN), anti-forensic software, an anti-junk cleaner, and peer-to-peer file-sharing programs.

Ashton-Fearnley was sentenced to two years imprisonment at Bradford Crown Court yesterday.

Recorder Alex Menary highlighted that the 48-year-old - appearing on a link from HMP Leeds - had only been released from custody on September 2.

At that time, police visited his address and explained the terms of his licence.

They had cause to return on September 22 to seize Ashton-Fearnley's phone.

The mobile device had been used to search for terms such as "hardcore pre-teen boys".

Defending Digby Johnson said Ashton-Fearnley had been in and out of custody for the last 13 years.

He explained how the Allerton man was taken into care several times as a youngster.

Mr Johnson added this had meant his client had had a life "dogged with mental health difficulties".

Mr Menary said Ashton-Fearnley knew the terms of the order and has persistently breached those.

The recorder added the offences were of very serious risk because they gave him access to images which in turn creates the market.
