A MAN was detained by police on suspicion of driving while being more than double the legal alcohol limit.
Officers said that the man was seen driving erratically in Eldwick, and blew 89 in custody - with the legal limit being 35.
The news was posted on Twitter by Sgt T Green, the Neighbourhood Policing Team Sergeant for Baildon, Bingley and Bingley Rural.
The tweet said officers were on their way back to the station to go off duty when they saw a vehicle that was seemingly being driven in an "erratic" manner.
The tweet said the driver was arrested on suspcion of drink driving.
"He blew 89 in custody. The legal limit is 35. He's been charged to court," the tweet added.
