A BRADFORD woman has spoken out about the nasty injuries she suffered after being dragged by a Range Rover in the car park of a Bradford hotel.

Khurram Shehzad, of Halifax Road in Brighouse, admitted to assault occasioning actual bodily harm outside the George Hotel in Low Moor at Bradford Crown Court on Friday.

The 37-year-old, who is married with two children and runs his own business, was sentenced to 30 weeks imprisonment which was suspended for 12 months.

Victim Sabrina Willan revealed the extent of the injuries she sustained shortly before midnight on September 11 last year, and how they have impacted her since.

Speaking to the Telegraph & Argus after Friday's hearing, Mrs Willan said: "My whole life has changed. I can't play rugby again and I have had to change my job.

"I fractured my fibula, dislocated my shoulder and severely damaged my knee.

"My face bounced off the floor and I was unconscious for 15 minutes.

"It is 14 months later and I am still waiting to go for my MRI. The plastic surgeon is then going to decide whether I need an injection in my knee.

"They have told me it is going to be another year until I get full function in that knee.

"I have had anxiety ever since the incident. I have also been living in fear because of him."

The Low Moor woman just wants Shehzad to apologise for what he did.

Mrs Willan added: "True justice was not done (on Friday). It is unfair.

"I didn't want him to go to prison, he has got kids like myself, but he has never apologised for what he did and does not seem remorseful."

Additionally, Mrs Willan wanted to express her account of what happened on the night.

She said: "I was leaning through the window talking to him because he was a trusted friend but he was aggressive after having had an argument with his girlfriend.

"He reversed and dragged me down a cobbled road. I was screaming at him to stop and I could feel my shoulder pop out.

"There was then a burning sensation in my leg as I was getting dragged. It felt like my toes were being crushed.

"When I fell away from the car, he drove over my right leg. I was in absolute agony and then I blacked out."
