A BRADFORD district-born WWE wrestler ended up on the losing team in a title match at a major show in Saudi Arabia.

Luke Menzies, otherwise known as World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) superstar Ridge Holland, competed in an undisputed WWE tag team title match at Crown Jewel on Saturday, November 5.

The Liversedge-born star joined forces with fellow Brawling Brutes squad member Butch to battle the champions, The Usos, for the championships.

But the defeat was not before Ridge showed off his power, as he lifted both Usos at the same time, slamming them to the canvas during the match.

The Brawling Brutes and The Usos have been feuding on the WWE’s Friday Night Smackdown TV show over recent weeks.

Ridge and his partner Butch previously battled for the WWE tag team titles on Smackdown from September 23, but fell just short against champions, The Usos.

But not before former Bradford Bulls Academy player Menzies showed his strength when he picked up both of his opponents at the same time.

Menzies is one of the rising stars of the WWE, appearing on their weekly Friday Night Smackdown TV show since October last year.

The Brawling Brutes have become one of the most popular teams in the WWE alongside fellow group member Sheamus.
