A MAN has appeared in court after a dog he was in charge of was dangerously out of control.

Faisal Farooqi, 44, appeared before Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court to be sentenced.

He was charged with one count of being an owner/person in charge of a dog dangerously out of control where no injury was caused.

According to court documents, the incident happened on June 12.

Farooqi, of Wilmer Drive, Heaton, was in charge of a grey Cane Corso called Crypto which was dangerously out of control on Parsons Road, Heaton.

He pleaded guilty to the charge on October 7.

Farooqi was discharged conditionally for 12 months.

He was ordered to pay a surcharge of £22 to fund victim services and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
