A BRADFORD taxi driver refused to pick up a disabled woman.
Tanveer Ahmed, 51, of Brantwood Close pleaded guilty to a private hire vehicle driver who failed or refused to carry out a booking for a disabled person accompanied by an assistance dog at Kirklees Magistrates' Court on Monday.
Ahmed, a driver of a private hire vehicle, was given a job by his operator at Green Lane, in the Armley area of Leeds on May 4 this year.
But Ahmed refused to carry out the booking because the woman would be accompanied by an assistance dog.
The 51-year-old was ordered to pay £1,090 in total, including a £64 fine, a surcharge of £34 to fund victim services and £992 in costs.
It must be paid by November 28.
