A BRADFORD councillor and residents have expressed their anger over a damaged wall that has caused dangerous rubble to block a popular ginnel.
The ruins are present at the back of Gladstone Street.
Filled with concern, a resident got in touch with local councillors to raise the plight facing regular users of the historic pathway.
Bradford Moor Councillor Mohammed Shafiq is hopeful the Council can fix the wall before it causes further damage.
He said: "This wall is like the game Jenga where pulling out the wrong brick will lead to its total collapse and this is an imminent danger to anyone close by so I'm raising this with the council to get it sorted.
"It is my hope this wall can be restored to its former glory for residents to enjoy once again and to provide a functional passageway that has been used by generations of people living around here."
Councillor Alex Ross-Shaw, Bradford Council’s Executive Member for Regeneration, Planning and Transport, said: “Work to clear the rubble from the ginnel will be done in the next few days.
"Repair work to the wall has been commissioned and will be carried out as soon as possible.”
