A WOMAN has avoided jail after she spat at people and damaged their property.
Jessica Martin, of Victoria Street in Brighouse, was given a 12-week concurrent sentence which was suspended for 12 weeks.
On April 15, she damaged a Range Rover, contrary to sections 1(1) and 4 of the Criminal Damage Act 1971, and assaulted a man, contrary to section 39 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988, in Brighouse.
After initially pleading not guilty to both offences, Martin later admitted to each crime.
Court documents say the offences were so serious because the 29-year-old spat, damaged and had no disregard for people and their property.
Martin has to pay £100 compensation.
The case was heard at Bradford And Keighley Magistrates' Court on Monday, October 24.
