A WOMAN had to be taken to hospital after she was hit by a car.

Emergency services were scrambled to the scene of the crash that took place at 4.07pm yesterday (Sunday) on Huddersfield Road in Liversedge.

The crash reportedly happened near the junction with Halifax Road.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "We were called to Huddersfield Road at 4.07pm yesterday to reports a vehicle had been in collision with a pedestrian.

"A woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries."
