A BRADFORD home care provider has spoken of its joy after moving into a new office last week.

Pova Care, which was formerly based on Little Horton Lane, now has a new premises on Cliffe Road, next to Peel Park.

The business supports adults aged 18-plus with any illness or disability, and says the move will allow it to thrive even more.

Manager Aliciya Ranu added that the launch event was a wonderful afternoon.

“It went really well. We had a gathering and a prayer, and staff and services users alike all came along,” said Aliciya, who built the business “from scratch” with her husband Malik in 2017.

“At the launch, a service user’s wife cut the ribbon and opened the office doors. It was really nice.

“It’s a very big achievement for us. Prior to this, we always rented, so it’s nice that Pova Care now has its own home.

“We want our new office to feel like a home environment. It’s going to be more cost effective for the company too – with all the rising prices – and it will also allow us to train staff on site.”

Aliciya added that Pova Care having its own office will allow the company to support service users even better than it has done before.

“Previously, staff training – while vital – would hold up the recruitment process. But now we can have staff starting this week and training the next, so we will no longer have those constraints, and we’ll be able to reach more service users,” she said.

“Saving money also means that we can now give more bonuses to our staff, to show our appreciation for their input.”

Pova Care is now planning to expand even further.

“We already cover Bradford and Kirklees, and now we want to spread our resources and increase our work even further afield,” Aliciya added.

Both Aliciya and Malik had prior experience as carers before starting Pova Care.

“I’d like to thank Malik for being brilliant. He goes out, sometimes last-minute, whenever someone needs him,” Aliciya continued.

“No matter the time of day, he goes above and beyond for people.

“No matter what has been thrown at Pova Care over recent years, we’ve always overcome any issues – I’m so thankful to our team and our carers, as without them, we wouldn’t be where we are today.”
