A Bingley resident is among three men arrested after an alleged assault at a pub left a man fighting for his life in hospital.

Police have revealed that a 41-year-old man is in a critical condition after an incident at the Black Horse pub, in the High Street, Skipton, at around 11.25pm on Saturday, October 22. The victim is a man from Lancashire.

Two Skipton men, aged 33 aged 36, and the Bingley man aged 38, have been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.

Officers have thankedmembers of the public who have come forward with information so far.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "Three men have been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 Assault following an incident in Skipton.

"It happened at the Black Horse pub on Skipton Hight Street at around 11.25pm.

"The victim, a 41-year-old man from Lancashire, is in a critical condition in hospital as a result of the assault.

"Two men from Skipton, aged 33 aged 36, and one man aged 38 from Bingley, have been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries."
