A MAN saw his wife's car seized by police after he attempted to drive it without the correct insurance policy.

Officers discovered the black vehicle in the Wyke area of Bradford.

The driver thought his insurance permitted him to use his wife's car.

However, this was not the case, so police seized the vehicle and reported the man.

Last night, West Yorkshire Police's Operation Steerside Team tweeted: "The driver of this car assumed his fully comprehensive insurance on his own car covered him to drive his wife's. It did not.

"Please check your policy wording before you drive somebody else's car.

"Car seized and the driver was reported for having no insurance."

Operation Steerside has been dedicated to tackling dangerous and anti-social driving in Bradford since 2016.
