There were ten-mile queues on the M62 in West Yorkshire this afternoon after diesel spilled from a lorry following a crash.

Two lanes of the westbound carriageway near junction 24 (Huddersfield) were closed due to the incident.

Traffic is said to be queuing for ten miles.

There is an hour and 25 minute delay on approach, say National Highways.

The J24 westbound entry slip road is also closed.

The Telegraph & Argus' traffic page reads: "M62 Westbound entry slip road closed two lanes closed, queueing traffic due to jackknifed lorry at J24 A629 (Ainley Top).

"Congestion to J25 A644 (Brighouse).

"Travel time is 55 minutes.

"Lanes one and two (Of three) are closed, the slip road from the roundabout has also been closed."
