A MAN has been jailed for stealing items from stores in two Bradford shopping centres.

Christopher Ullah, 40, of no fixed address, was jailed for a total of 12 weeks for two theft from a shop charges.

In the first offence, he was committed to prison for eight weeks for stealing cosmetic serums, worth a total of £599.40, from Boots at The Broadway, Bradford, on October 8, 2022. He was also ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge for this offence.

In the second charge, Ullah was committed to prison for four weeks for stealing three rucksacks, worth a total of £62.97, from Deichmann Shoes, Kirkgate Centre, Bradford, on October 10, 2022.

Both theft from a shop offences were deemed so serious because the defendant has a ‘flagrant disregard for people and their property’.

Ullah pleaded guilty to both charges and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on October 11, 2022.
