A MAN has appeared in court for possession of cocaine.
Chris Gooderick, 53, of York Street, Bingley, faced one charge of possession of a controlled drug of class A.
He was caught in possession of two bags of cocaine, a controlled drug of class A, at Bowland Avenue, Baildon, on August 15, 2022. The offence was in contravention of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
Gooderick was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £48 victim surcharge for the offence. A collection order was made by the court at the sentencing hearing.
The two bags of cocaine are to be forfeited and destroyed by West Yorkshire Police.
Gooderick pleaded guilty and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on October 4, 2022.
