POLICE officers are urging car owners to be vigilant as a number of car stereos have been stolen from vehicles parked near George Street in Bradford city centre.

A spokespersperson for the Bradford City Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "City NPT officers are once again asking people to be vigilant after further reports of theft from vehicle incidents have been reported to police within the city centre, predominantly at the George Street locations reported previously.

"The vehicles that seem to be targeted are Volkswagens, Audis or Seats where the stereo or centre console is stolen from the car.

"Officers have again been patrolling at the location in both high-visibility uniform and plain clothes in order to deter potential offenders.

"If you see anything suspicious in the area in relation to vehicle crime, please report it to police via calling 101 or using westyorkshire.police.uk/101LiveChat. In an emergency always call 999."
