A major road has reopened after it was partially blocked both ways by a crash.

The incident took place on Duckworth Lane, near Bradford Royal Infirmary, around 7.30am on Tuesday (October 18).

The collision involved a vehicle and pedestrian.

The pedestrian suffered some injuries that are not thought to be serious.

Traffic in the area was moving slowly, leading to further congestion around the Toller Lane area.

The flow appears to have improved since the road reopened around 10am.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called to a road traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Duckworth Lane, near Bradford Royal Infirmary, at 8.19am today.

"The pedestrian suffered injuries that are not thought to be serious."

The T&A's traffic partner INRIX said: "Duckworth Lane both ways partially blocked, very slow traffic due to accident near Bradford Royal Infirmary."
