Those renovations are now complete and the restaurant is set to reopen this Thursday.

The new innovations include:

• Front counter redesign that will create specific areas for different sales channels, meaning more space for customers to enjoy their meal, less congestion around touchscreens and shorter queues.

• Dedicated courier waiting area and entrance, which will allow the crew to better accommodate courier needs, alongside reducing congestion in the dining to create a more relaxing restaurant environment for customers.

• New kitchen design includes a bigger order assembly area and dedicated areas to prepare McDelivery and dine-in orders, which will help the crew serve more quickly, efficiently and accurately than ever before.

• Improved break spaces have been redesigned crew rooms will create a more relaxing and comfortable space for crew to take a well-deserved break.

• Improved car park layout with numbered bays, which will create a separate parking area that will improve circulation around the restaurant, so it is much easier for Drive-Thru and Click & Collect customers to get their order.

McDonald’s franchisee Pritpal Singh, who owns and operates 20 restaurants across Yorkshire including Keighley, said: "We are pleased to be reinvesting in our Keighley restaurant again providing separate facilities for our customers and couriers thus leading to a better experience for all.

"I’m really looking forward to the new look and feel of our Keighley restaurant and hope for a better customer experience for all the locals and visitors."

"We look forward to welcoming back the local community and families again on October 20."

Plans to refurbish and build an extension at McDonald's, on Hard Ings, were submitted to Bradford Council in June and the application was granted permission on August 3.

According to the planning application filed with Bradford Council, refurbishment of the restaurant included changes to elevations with extensions totalling 62.1 square metres.

In September, Mr Singh spoke out the refurbishment plans.

He said: "I’m excited that my Keighley, Hard Ings Road restaurant is currently undergoing refurbishment works which will improve the experience of our customers and my team."
