FOOTAGE has emerged of a dangerous Bradford teen driver swerving past cars during a police chase.

Last week, Ryan Womersley, of Tees Street in Canterbury, was jailed for attempting to evade the force for 11 minutes from Reevy Road in Buttershaw to Brighouse.

Judge Jonathan Rose said the incident presented a "grave risk" to the public as even maintenance workers had to leap out of the way on occasions.

He added that Womersley could have "easily killed another person".

In a 30-second clip, which was played in court, the 19-year-old can be seen driving dangerously in a yellow Fiat Panda.

He rounds two cars at speed on Halifax Road before accelerating past the roundabout onto Ludenscheid Link.

The video ends as he turns right onto Ganny Road, past Brighouse Bus Station.

Womersley was sentenced to 18 months in prison at Bradford Crown Court on Friday, October 7.
