THE man accused of murdering young mother Lauren Howe today had his case adjourned until December 9 without the charge being put to him.
Charlie Booth, 27, of Albert Road, Saltaire, appeared before Leeds Crown Court on a prison video link for the short hearing.
His barrister, Jessica Heggie, asked Judge Geoffrey Marson KC that he not be arraigned. The defence team was awaiting evidence from the pathologist, the court was told.
The trial date of January 23 was fixed at an earlier hearing. It is expected to take place at Leeds Crown Court and to last ten days.
Booth was charged with murder after 26-year-old Miss Howe died in hospital on July 24 following an incident in Baildon.
Judge Marson said that he was be arraigned in December when he can again appear on a video link to HMP Leeds.
