A PASSENGER not wearing a seatbelt led to police seizing a car in Bradford.

The silver Volkswagen Golf was taken by officers on Idle Road in the east of the city on Saturday.

The vehicle was initially stopped after police noticed the rear-seat passenger was not wearing a seatbelt.

Further checks revealed the correct documents did not match up.

Therefore, the driver was reported to court and their car was seized.

Over the weekend, West Yorkshire Police's Operation Steerside Team tweeted: "Vehicle stopped on Idle Road in Bradford.

"It was initially due to the rear seat passenger not wearing a seatbelt.

"One thing led to another as is often the case, culminating in the vehicle being seized for document offences and the driver was reported."
