QUEUING traffic and delays on M62 Westbound this evening following a reported Diesel spillage between Bradford and Leeds, caused by a tractor.

The M62 Westbound is closed between J28 A653 Dewsbury Road (Tingley) and J27 M621 (Gildersome) as traffic queues for six miles.

All lanes have been closed and normal traffic conditions aren't expected until later this evening.

A Spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said:" It was a fuel spillage reported at 16:53."

"It was a tractor with a trailer that was involved.

"Only Morley fire station went out."

A traffic app said: "M62 Westbound closed, queueing traffic for six miles due to spillage of Diesel between J28 A653 Dewsbury Road (Tingley) and J27 M621 (Gildersome).

"Congestion to J30 (Rothwell). Traffic is also starting to slow down on the M1 at J42. Trapped traffic has now been released.

"Diesel is spilled across all three lanes and it's expected to remain closed through the evening."
