A BRADFORD schoolboy is to appear in court charged with two serious offences.

The 14-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons due being under the age of 18, has been charged with criminal damage and assault by beating.

Both offences are alleged to have happened earlier this year.

The boy is accused of damaging a CCTV camera worth £100 on April 19.

He is also accused of beating a male on May 3.

The teen denies both offences. At a hearing on Monday, September 26, he was remanded on unconditional bail until his next court appearance.

The date was set for Thursday, December 22 this year, when he will appear at the West Yorkshire Youth Court, in Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court, for his trial.
