IT was the end of the road for Valley Road when this photograph was taken by a Telegraph & Argus photographer back in 1961.
The T&A reported: “Valley Road and surrounding houses are to be demolished shortly, under a Compulsory Purchase Order.
“The houses are over 100-years-old and were originally built to house people who worked at the adjoining mills.
“There are currently 190 people in the area.”
These old houses may have gone, but there are still traces of Victorian Bradford in the streets around the Valley Road area.
Do you remember life in these Manningham streets in decades gone by?
