A WOMAN has appeared in court for stealing patio furniture from a Bradford charity shop.
Iveta Demeterova, 56, of Westfield Road, Bradford, faced two charges.
In the first, theft from a shop, she stole patio furniture, to the value of £100, from Sue Ryder, Quora Retail Park, Clayton Road, Bradford. The offence took place on August 4, 2022.
Demeterova was handed a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £100 compensation and a £26 victim surcharge for the offence. A collection order was made by the court at the sentencing hearing.
In the second charge, failing to surrender to police/court bail at the appointed time, she failed, without reasonable cause to surrender to custody at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on September 28, 2022. She was handed a six-month conditional discharge for the offence.
Demeterova pleaded guilty to both offences and was sentenced at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on October 1, 2022.
