A MAN has been banned from driving after failing to provide a specimen to police.
Mohammed Qadir, 43, of Woodcress Court, Bradford, faced one charge of failing to provide a specimen for analysis – vehicle driver.
When suspected of having driven a vehicle and having been required to provide a specimen of breath by means of a device in the course of an investigation into whether he had committed an offence, Qadir failed without reasonable excuse, to do so.
The offence took place at Trafalgar House Police Station, Bradford, on September 23, 2020.
Qadir was disqualified from holding, or obtaining, a driving licence for 12 months. He was also ordered to pay £400 costs, fined £120 and a £34 victim surcharge.
Qadir was found guilty of the charge and was sentenced at Kirklees Magistrates’ Court on September 20, 2022. He had pleaded not guilty at an earlier hearing held on January 6, 2021.
