A PLANNING application has been submitted to create two flats above a fish and chip shop.
If given the go-ahead, the first floor of The Cove on Station Road, Horsforth, would be turned into two self-contained flats.
“In general, the proposals will enhance the site’s use by delivering a better quality of housing to meet the needs of future residents,” says the application.
It adds: “The flats will provide a good quality level of housing which will be attractive to private individuals.
“This will fully utilise the site’s potential and will increase the desirability of the area.”
The application says the layout of the flats includes a separate living room, kitchen, one bedroom and bathroom.
It says the scheme aims to make “much-needed improvements” to the workings of the existing building.
