PEOPLE are being urged to get their nominations in for this year’s Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Awards as the closing date fast approaches.

The unique awards will take place under the glittering festive lights of Bradford’s Broadway shopping centre on Sunday, November 13.

The shopping mall will be transformed into a stunning gala dinner awards space, complete with a red carpet, three-course dinner, entertainment and 10 fantastic awards to celebrate the best of the Bradford district.

Anyone can make a nomination or entry – whether it’s a customer who has had a great experience or a member of staff, or the owner/management.

People can enter in as many categories as they see fit, entry is free and those shortlisted will enjoy a night in Bradford followed by a great after-show party.

The Retail, Leisure and Hospitality Awards are delivered by the Telegraph & Argus, LOCALiQ along with the Bradford BID, The Broadway shopping centre and Bradford Council.

The awards aim to celebrate success and recognise achievement in the sector. With Bradford now named City of Culture 2025, never has it been more important to shout about the district's retail, leisure and hospitality sector.

Steve Lowe, sales director at the Telegraph & Argus, said: “These are one of the best awards we run in the calendar due to the location and those that attend are in a mind to party.

“Just being shortlisted can be a real boost for a business and its people, so we are excited to be holding the awards in November and are looking forward to seeing the entries.”

Ian Ward, general manager of The Broadway and Bradford BID chairman, added: “We are delighted to host the Retail, Leisure and Hospitality Awards for the third time this November which will showcase the success of local businesses and individuals.

“After an extremely challenging couple of years and Bradford’s City of Culture 2025 win, there isn’t a better and more poignant time to recognise the achievement, and highlight the innovative people, venues and destinations throughout the Bradford district which make the area a great place to shop, dine and spend leisure time.”

This year, the awards have a new category ‘Rising Star’ which aims to recognise those that are growing in a business and making a difference.

They do not have to be a manager or leader, just someone that has made a real impression.
