A MAN has been banned after being caught drink driving in the Bradford district.

Rory Proctor, 33, of Wilsden Road, Harden, Bingley, appeared in court on two charges, with the other relating to a speeding offence.

In the first, driving a motor vehicle when his alcohol level was above the limit, it was found that the proportion of it in his breath, namely 43 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit. The offence took place on April 16, 2021, at Keighley Retail Park, in Hard Ings Road.

He pleaded not guilty at an earlier hearing and was found guilty at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on September 16, 2022.

Proctor was disqualified from holding, or obtaining, a driving licence for three years. The disqualification was deemed obligatory for the offence.

He was also handed a community order, including being ordered to carry out 100 hours unpaid work in the community over the next 12 months. He was fined £620 and ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge.

On September 13, 2022, Proctor was fined £100, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £34 victim surcharge and given four licence points for a speeding charge.

He was clocked driving at 70mph in a 50mph zone of Bingley Bypass on May 19, 2021.
