A MAN charged with stalking in Bradford has been given a restraining order.
Neil Thornton, 41, appeared before Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court to be sentenced.
He was charged with stalking without fear/alarm or distress.
According to court documents, Thornton stalked the Bradford woman earlier this year.
After initially denying the offence, he changed his plea to guilty.
Thornton, of Ascot Gardens, Middleton, Leeds, was given a community order. It includes a requirement to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months.
He was also given a two-year restraining order and ordered to pay £300 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £95 surcharge to fund victim services.
Thornton will pay the balance at a rate of £100 per month.
