YORKSHIRE Water is working to repair a burst water main in Pudsey.

The burst water main, on Uppermoor, near Greenside, was reported this morning (Tuesday).

Local residents and councillors took to social media to report that water was coming up out of a drain and water was flowing down the road.

A spokesperson from Yorkshire Water said: "Our teams are on site to begin the repair.

"To enable them to work safely, traffic management will be in place.

"We will remove the traffic lights once the repair has been completed and the road is reinstated."

Cllr Trish Smith put a message on Facebook asking people to proceed with caution in the area and to reassure residents that a team from Yorkshire Water was working to repair the problem.
