A PAEDOPHILE had thousands of indecent images and filmed people with bathroom cameras.

Tom Lundgren, 24, of Gomersal, was jailed for 18 months at Leeds Crown Court today after pleading guilty to multiple indecent image offences and voyuerism.

The 24-year-old's charges included making indecent pictures of a child, possessing an extreme pornographic image involving an animal and eight charges of voyuerism.

Officers from the Kirklees Police Online Investigation Team went to Lundgren's address two years ago, in May 2020.

They seized electronic devices from Lundgren and found more than 7,500 indecent and extreme images.

This included 1,855 images of the worst categorisation (Category A) - this can be images of children which involve penetrative sexual activity, sexual activity with an animal, or sadism.

There were 1,507 Category B images (images of children which involve non-penetrative sexual activity) and 4,461 Category C images (footage which does not fall into the more severe categories).

Lundgren also had 35 extreme pornography images on the devices.

Police also discovered that the 24-year-old had placed cameras in locations such as bathrooms to record people without their consent.

Victims of these acts were identified and informed by officers.

Lundgren was charged in August this year following a police investigation.

He has been given a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), alongside his prison sentence.

PC Simon Meakin, of the Kirklees Police Online Investigation Team, said: "We welcome the sentencing of Lundgren today for what has clearly been prolific indecent imagery offending.

"On seizing his devices, we found over 1,800 of the most serious Category A images as well as images of victims he had recorded for his own gratification using hidden recording devices.

"Any act of voyeurism represents the most appalling invasion of a person’s privacy, and we have worked hard to locate victims of these offences.

“All sexual and indecent image offences are investigated thoroughly.

“Kirklees Police will always seek to prosecute those who possess indecent images of children, and those who seek it should be well aware that holding such images has the potential to ruin your own life and future.”
