TRAINS were being cancelled heading out of Bradford city centre after trespassers got onto the track.

The individuals were on the line between Bradford Forster Square Railway Station and Shipley Railway Station.

Northern Rail posted on Twitter to say this meant all lines between the two stations were blocked.

The rail service provider added that trains running to and from Bradford Forster Square and Shipley were being cancelled.

Network Rail also released information stating services between the Bradford station and Ilkley, Leeds and Skipton were being impacted.

The issue was first reported at 4.42pm but Northern Rail tweeted again, at 5.05pm, to update customers that all lines had reopened.

But services may still be delayed or even cancelled.

Network Rail said on its website that the delays could be up to 40 minutes

Disruption is expected to continue until 6.30pm.
