AN abandoned vehicle that was found by the public was seized earlier this week.
West Yorkshire Police Leeds West officers attended a black Mitsubishi Shogun in Pudsey on Wednesday.
Once there, checks took place which discovered the car to be cloned.
To make matters worse, this was not the first time the vehicle had come into contact with the police.
It had been stopped elsewhere only days earlier, say police.
A spokesperson from the force said: "Officers from your local Neighbourhood Policing Team recently seized this Mitsubishi Shogun.
"The vehicle was found abandoned by members of the public in Pudsey. Checks revealed the vehicle to be cloned.
"This wasn't the vehicle's first encounter with police, as it had previously failed to stop days earlier."
