A WOMAN was taken to hospital following a two-car crash this morning.
Traffic alerts by Inrix reported an accident on Butt Lane, Farnley, near Tong Road, closed the road this morning.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "A two-vehicle collision at the junction with Tong Road was reported at 10.56am today.
"A woman was taken to hospital as precaution."
Bus services also had to be diverted from the area.
An earlier tweet by First West Yorkshire said: "Incident on Butt Lane between Tong Road and Ring Road Service 15 will divert via Ring Road, Tong Road in both directions until further notice. We do apologise for the inconvenience caused."
However, police have reported that the road has now re-opened.
An updated report by Inrix added that the accident had been cleared, Butt Lane was re-opened both ways and traffic returned to normal.
First West Yorkshire also tweeted: "Incident on Butt Lane between Tong Road and Ring Road Road is now clear and Service 15 is now able to operate normal route. Thank you for your patience."
