A BRADFORD district plant and machinery hire firm has helped out with a TV show’s building project.

R Bunton, based in Wilsden, was on site for the DIY SOS: The Big Build Leeds project big reveal.

The DIY SOS team were joined by trades and volunteers from Leeds and across the UK as they completed a build that will benefit BBC Children in Need-funded project, Getaway Girls.

The new building will provide a positive and calming environment for a diverse range of women and girls from across the city, and allow them to build a better future.

To mark the occasion, Getaway Girls choir sung live on the show with presenters and hundreds of DIY SOS volunteers looking on.

R Bunton posted on its Facebook page: “Lindsey and Sally on site yesterday morning for DIY SOS: The Big Build Leeds reveal for the fantastic BBC Children in Need project for Getaway Girls in Leeds.

“We feel proud to have been involved by donating and delivering materials to assist with the building of this amazing space for such a special charity!”

In a separate Facebook post, R Bunton wrote: “Such a fantastic project to have being involved with and we can’t wait to see it aired on TV next month!!”
