A NEW £65,000 public toilet facility for disabled people in a Bradford district town has been placed on-site ahead of its opening.

The Changing Places toilet in Myrtle Place in Bingley is set to open in the coming weeks after the pre-built structure was put in place today.

A Changing Places facility is specifically for people with multiple and complex disabilities.

The room contains a toilet, a fixed-track motorised hoist system, a height-adjustable basin, as well as an adult-sized changing bench.

Councillor Steve Williams, chairman of the Changing Places Working group for the town council, said: “I’m happy it’s arrived. It is all done inside.”
