A LONDONER was caught wandering a Bradford street with a large knife and cannabis.
Ylli Cenuka, 45, of High Street in the Harrow area of London pleaded guilty to possessing a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place and possessing cannabis at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court last Monday.
He was sentenced two days later at the same court, last Wednesday, to a community order for the offences.
The 45-year-old was on Garforth Street on May 3, 2022 with a large kitchen knife.
He was also caught with a quantity of cannabis on the same day.
Cenuka must carry out 250 hours of unpaid work within the next year under his community order.
He was also ordered to pay the court £180, including a surcharge of £95 to fund victim services and £85 in costs.
His guilty plea was taken into account when sentencing.
This story originally said Cenuka was caught with the knife on May 3 this year. It should have read May 3, 2020.
The story also mentioned Garforth Street is near a primary school but this would have been closed due to the lockdown at the time. We apologise for this.
