A WOMAN has been jailed for a number of thefts from stores at a Bradford shopping centre.

Naheeda Kauser Hussain, 40, of Emm Lane, Bradford, was jailed for a total of 28 days for a number of theft from a shop charges.

In the first offence, she was committed to prison for 28 days for stealing £60 worth of meat from Marks and Spencer, The Broadway, on August 27, 2022.

Hussain was committed to prison for 28 days, to run concurrently, for stealing three razor packs, worth a total of £100, from Boots, The Broadway, on July 24, 2022. She was also ordered to pay £100 compensation for this offence. A collection order was made by the court.

Hussain was also re-sentenced for stealing £651.50 worth of beauty products from Boots, The Broadway, on March 29, 2022. She was committed to prison for 28 days, to run concurrently, for this charge.

The offences were deemed so serious because they were aggravated by being committed while Hussain was subject to a community sentence. The offences committed by Hussain were aggravated by her record of previous offending.

Hussain pleaded guilty to all of the offences and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on September 7, 2022.
